Jerry Schwartz, CEO of both G.S. Schwartz & Co. Inc., and Digital Power and Light, has over 35 years of experience in public relations, investor relations and marketing communications. He began his career at the American Stock Exchange, where he worked on a wide range of news events, promotions, publications and speeches. He then worked for 10 years at a large global public relations agency, rising to executive vice president.

The agency’s URL,, is a hint at Jerry’s pioneering work in the Internet, starting with video text businesses like Minitel of France in the late 1980's, then Prodigy Services in the early 1990’s, UUNet in the mid 1990’s and later helping build more major brand names such as CDnow, DLJdirect,,, and others right up to the present. Three years ago, seeing a changing media landscape, he co-founded Digital Power and Light, which creates multi-platform digital marketing strategies.

Asked to name three highlights in a long career, Jerry cites a successful 6-year program for Western Union that resulted in its sale, major international work for DHL Express over 6 years, and a highly successful program for the Toy Industry Association covering product marketing and industry issues.

A native of New Haven and a resident of Manhattan, Jerry received a bachelor's degree from Boston University in 1969 and a master's degree from New York University in 1972. He has written and lectured extensively on public relations, investor relations, marketing and the Internet.
